I recently picked up a collection early 1900's 78 rpms. I found this website while doing research. I do have the 78 rpm listed above by Billy Jones & Ernest Hare on the Brunswick label # 2654. It was pressed in 1924 I believe.
I hope this helps to add additional information regarding these two artists.
I also have "Are you coming out, Malinda?/Ten little fingers and ten little toes" Brunswick 2140- 1921

I Love this music. A Time Machine To happiness. Todays music might not have the same class , but one artist is slipping back in time to bring that class back...The Brian Ferry Orchestra. Brian Ferry was With Roxy Music.

Billy and Ernest represent the pinnacle of this style of performance singing...vaudeville on cylinder or disc. I find it interesting that so many songs could be written and performed on such trivial themes - yet the recording industry was in its infant stage and the audience was eager to hear these novelty tunes. Not much of that around in 2015. Everything is sterilized by technological intervention. I'm not a old crank - just someone seeking an expression of creative originality without all the 'production' that is used nowadays to cover for an artists inadequacy. Live on - Billy and Ernest!

I discovered this duo from a record being played on an Edison phonograph at a flea market a few years ago. Since then, I've tried to hunt down everything I can. They are hilarious and a joy! Thank you Internet Archive for broadening my horizons.

Ernest Hare is my Grand Dad. Although I never knew him, as he died when my mother, Marilyn Hare, was 15 years old, I feel like I am as close to him as anyone could be and am so blessed to have his music to enjoy.
Thanks for listening and keeping the Happiness Boys alive!

these two characters were the "interwoven pair"
on very early radio commercials. They made their
mark in vaudeville and records in the teens and twenties, and were quite established by the early
30's, when they were the first famous voices in radio.

My father has an old Edison phonograph that is still in working order. Several of the songs represented here are in my father's collection, though sadly not in as good a shape as the discs transcribed here. My brother and I used to spend many an afternoon cranking up the old Edison and delighting to the sounds of "Barney Google", "Old King Tut", and "Mr. Gallagher and Mr. Sheen". Jones and Hare's humor may not have retained much of its relevance for modern audiences, but the songs were always bouncy and fun to listen to. This is a great find for me.
